March Meeting

This past month Pat Scofield shared her journey in art with us. She brought along early works of her art leading up to her present artworks. It is always interesting to see and hear how an artist evolves.

Joan Konyn demonstrated a Batik Style done in watercolor using masking fluid as a resist.

February Meeting

This month Jill did a demonstration showing how to create and paint  bookmarks. Little pieces of art that sit on the corner of the page in a book to mark where you were.

January Meeting

Last month I did a filter and fiber texture demo, here are some of our members fabulous paintings so far. Some are finished while a few are still works in progress.

I also brought along ingredients to mix up some acrylic bubble solution for those who wished to try this texture method. We've done this awhile back but it was new to some. I showed the group ways to work with the bubbles while they are still wet.

One of our members, Yvonne Notbohm has been out for a bit so the 13 members that made it on Thursday  painted her a bouquet of flowers to cheer her and it did. She was very happy and thankful for the small flower paintings

Jill thought the flowers needed a fish and I think it's the perfect touch for this bouquet.

December Meeting

After the exchange I did a demonstration on how to use coffee filters and fibers for texture in a flower painting. It was a refresher course for some while it was the first attempt for our new members.

Hopefully next month members will bring some finished paintings that I can post.
